Innocent Badger

The badger cull companies are run by small groups of farmers, those farmers that organise have to correctly account for all the money they take from the hundreds of farmers who have paid, in each of the cull zones.

This money runs into the hundreds of thousands in many zones, which in turn runs into millions over the entire country. We can exlusively reveal that one company is doing the majority of the accountancy work and is earning considerable fee’s in the process.

That company is “Old Mill” they have offices in, Exeter, Yeovil, Wells and Melksham. As a firm they are well respected in the accountancy industry, generating £19 million in fees  has put them into the top 50 high earners. Number 35, we wonder where they will be next year.

We have recieved an anonymous email, that reveals the extent to which the company is involved with badger cull organisers and also reveals a shocking breach in GDPR for all of their 7,000+ clients. The email to us:

“In early July this year, whilst doing google research on a specific director of the badger culls, we came across a link to a spreadsheet on the old mill website:
https://www.oldmillgroup.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Rural-Update-Summer-17-Mailing-List.xlsx

after downloading it and looking through it, we were very surprised to find that all of their 2017 clients details were listed. Further research has shown that 29 of the cull companies use this firm as their accountants. Although the link to the spreadsheet was eventually removed, we still have a copy and are emailing it to anti cull groups across the country.”

The ramifications of this breach in GDPR should not be underestimated, the ICO could in theory fine the company many millions of pounds. The breached data can be found here.

Not only could the ICO fine them, but every single one of their clients is now entitled to compensation.

It is worth remembering, if you are involved in the killing of badgers, in any way, shape or form. Your involvement could become public at any point in time.

Paul Candy thought like many other badger cull company directors that he could remain hidden and kill badgers without anyone knowing he was involved. He formed a cull company last year and intends to kill thousands of badgers over the next few years.

The farm has footpaths going straight through it. We aren’t sure why, but just last night Paul was seen sat in his tractor in the yard, lights and engine off. Maybe it’s where he goes when he has a lot on his mind.

We have been researching his business extensively and found out some interesting details, he is currently hundreds of thousands of pounds in debt due to another business that he set up this year:

“The funding has enabled the couple to build a small gelato factory on-site and purchase the equipment needed to manufacture the new product. This includes a 120-litre pasteuriser, walk-in freezer and small trailer to promote the business at local markets.”

It’s called Palette & Pasture and has facebook pages and a twitter account (see above).

Paul has been getting extremely nervous in the last week, we know this due to the fact that events he’s been posting on his business facebook page have been removed after Stop the Cull has shared them.

Paul now has the dilemma of having to choose whether to continue killing badgers and face financial ruin due to his Gelato business being constantly highlighted as a badger killing affair for the next 4+ years.

Our position should be absolutely clear, as long as he’s killing badgers, we will turn up at every single public event that he holds and be informing members of public of his involvement with the badger cull.

This is our legal right and we see it as our duty to the badgers.

Please do contact him with your opinions, wether thats twitter, facebook or polite phone calls, it’s perfectly lawful and your actions may well see a badger cull company collapse just as culling begins. Also please do copy the link to this page and post it up on your fb pages.

Although they no longer advertise on well known shooting site gunsonpegs, Honeybrook farm, Slaughterford, Wiltshire SN14 8RJ (owned by Liz Hodges, tel: 01249 712271) near Chippenham certainly was selling pheasant shooting spots during the last season, as you can see on this facebook post by A1 Decoys:

Activists researching shooting activity on a number of shoots in the South West decided to have an indepth search on this and other estates to see exactly what was going on in the weeks running upto pheasant pens being filled. Pens are usually filled with pheasant poults around the end of July, beginning of August and it’s not uncommon to find a number of snares and traps put down for predators of poults around this time.

This was just one of many fenn traps found, on the estate. This one is right on top of an entrance to an active badger sett.
Fenn traps are by law supposed to be enclosed and certainly not put on top of badger setts. The owners of the land Ray and Liz Hodges, are well aware of this as other fenn traps were found next to the required boxes (but not in them!):

You’d think that with the most of the farm being an SSSI, that wildlife would be looked after and not persecuted, you’d be wrong.

Ray and Liz Hodges are well known locally for being a bit crazy, Ray will come out with his shotgun and wave it about and in an interview that starts well but ends in full blown hillbilly, Liz openly admits:

Lizs greatest fear is that public funding would mean greater public access. “I dont see why I should give people somewhere to have their holidays. We have no footpaths on the farm but I have to spend my weekends on patrol, people are just coming out of the woodwork.”

Strangely Liz doesn’t think that any footpaths go through her property, but they do as a quick look on an OS map reveals:

Although the fenn traps were found well away from the footpaths, the pheasant pens in White Cliff Wood had quite a few fenn traps surrounding them, no doubt in preparation for the pheasant poults that will be put in there over the next week or so.

The national press has gone crazy for the story about the hunter who after trying to mow people down with her horse, went onto whip a hunt sab around the head.
The Daily Mail were kind enough to expose her real name “Jane Goring” although our electoral roll searches have found her name is “Jane Miller”

Her partner Richard Goring, is in the hotel business which he runs with a number of other people. The Goring hotel has a royal warrant and is a personal favourite of the queen. One of the directors a “David Morgan-Hewitt” pictured here with Mrs.Thatcher, recently sold a house to none other than the number one badger killer “Michael Gove”

We’ve recieved further information that “Lord Vestey” frequently stays in the Goring Hotel and it’s a particularly popular hotel with many wealthy hunt scum. Maybe this explains why Jane Miller hasn’t been arrested, indeed she seems to be getting a lot of protection as one person who sent her a text which stated that she hoped her business would suffer and that she would get arressted recieved this:

If you are going to contact Jane directly, it is worth keeping calls and texts polite to avoid any trouble. Some people have reportedly been googling “request callback ppi” and “request callback personal injury” etc and then adding her details.

The Times last night came out with a story that revolved around an as yet unseen video from earlier this hunting season, we can exclusively reveal the video here, as you can see at around 1m20s her partner comes along to talk to her, she shouts at him and makes a swipe at him. She really is a very violent person.

Meanwhile Oliver Watson on his Riverford Dairy website is saying:
“Today, Riverford is a collection of three connected businesses – Riverford Organic Dairy, Riverford Organic and Riverford Farm Shops. Each business operates on the Riverford land and all the Watson children are actively involved. Oliver Watson runs the Farm and Dairy, Louise is on the Farm, Ben runs the Farm Shops, www.riverfordfarmshop.co.uk Guy and Rachel run Riverford Organic and it’s nationwide veg box scheme”

 

The three companies are connected and for the Riverford veg box scheme to say that they are a seperate entity is just flat out lies. Riverford Dairy as you can see from the above statement certainly don’t view themselves as seperate. Riverford Organic Veg even refer on their own website to the dairy farm as “Our Organic Dairy”

Whilst we are pleased that Riverford Organic Veg are not killing badgers on their arable land, the dairy farm adjoins the land, so badgers from across the Riverford veg and dairy farms can and will be getting targetted.

Riverford Organic in 2012 said:

It just isn’t possible to call yourself an ethical company and in the same breathe say you have no control over what your suppliers do. You can apply it to killing badgers or using child labour, if you don’t care what your suppliers do, then you cannot call yourself ethical.

We are told the farmers want to kill badgers as a measure to control disease, so why have anti cull activists across the country been finding cages with blood and brains in them during the first week of culling?

Some of the finds are of locations where a cage trap has been put, a badger has been killed and the cage removed. Signs of the cage indentations were visible.

The Daily Mirror front page has got a lot of people talking about the rules and regulations of the badger cull, what a lot of people don’t know, is that the guidelines were totally overhauled after the first year of culling.

Why? because activists found multiple breaches, recorded and reported them.

What you see here is totally within the badger cull licence regulations as they currently stand.

George Withers leaving court in 2010 after admitting to causing death from leaving mud on a road. Other drivers narrowly avoided crashing after also sliding on the mud.

We’ve done a lot of digging into George, he’s well known to be all smiles and laughter, but has a very very short temper. Known to be aggressive and a bully, several people we spoke to implored us not to mention that we’d spoken to him for fear of reprisals.

He’s also trying to cover up his contact details and in just the past week has had his listing removed from the yellow pages:

At the end of the day, there would be no badger killing without licences, so who are the people hiding behind the scenes?
